Jordan Spena - Headshot

JORDAN SPENA

Jordan Spena (he/him) is a performer and creative raised in Los Angeles, CA. Jordan discovered the arts at the age of four when he attended his local dance company's production of Prokofiev's Cinderella, and immediately knew he was destined to play an Evil Stepsister. His parents enrolled him in classical ballet, probably just to burn some energy, but accidentally kicking off a lifelong passion for performance. Oops!

Jordan is a graduate of the Orange County School of the Arts, and holds his BFA in Musical Theatre from Texas State University. While in school, he has been able to cultivate his many passions, not just for performing, but for playwriting, choreography, and theatre history. His summers have been spent at dance institutions like ABT and the Bolshoi Ballet, or even abroad, studying acting at the RSC and Shakespeare's Globe. When he isn't doing something arts-related, you can likely find Jordan perusing a good book, doting over his dog, or adding to his growing collection of silly socks.

Perhaps you've seen Jordan on stage as a dastardly pirate, glamorous showgirl, or dancing priest... Or maybe you've seen some of his choreography, or read one of his plays! If not, stick around and take a look!

“Jordan Spena conjured romance and mystery through movement in the Dream Ballet.”

Rick Perdian, Seen and Heard International

“Madison Manning as Dream Laurey and Jordan Spena as Dream Curly were perfect mirrors of the couple … deftly [mixing] dance styles to go with the mixture of pointe shoes and boots we saw on the stage.”
B. A. Nilsson, Words and Music

“There is a superb Dream Ballet that adds a new dimension to Rogers and Hammerstein’s Work. In the Ballet, Jordan Spena plays Curly … It is a visual and choreographic delight.”

James Karas, Reviews and Views

"I could barely— You saw me! My jaw was on the floor this entire time. That’s very hard to do. I was quite enthralled, I was quite enthralled with [Jordan's] piece. Listen… I’m— I was praise-hands-ing it the whole time. So, that’s just where I’m at, but again, I was a drag queen in a past life, we’ve discussed this. So… This for me was ethereal."
Jessica Vosk

"You had the best legs on that stage!"
